This beautiful Greenstone Pendant was handmade by a New Zealand artist. Greenstone is carved from a form of Nephrite Jade which is mined on the West Coast of the South Island of New Zealand. The pendant is a fighting club shape called a "Mere" It has a Sterling Silver neck and is hung on an 18"" Sterling Silver Chain. The artists who have carved these beautiful items of jewellery are all Maori living in New Zealand. They work together in cooperatives where these traditional Maori designs are produced individually and with great care. Approximate Measurements:
